Elvington Cottage - Family-friendly cheerful house at the heart of the Cotswolds

Great location and functionally good house

House was a little tired. Fine for group but may have been disappointed if family came Struggled to get hot water…never better than warm

A porta de entrada está emperrando trazendo muitas dificuldades para entrar. O sistema de aquecimento da casa funciona razoavelmente e por isso a casa se mantém um pouco fria. O sistema de aquecimento de água falhou e houve queda de energia durante uso simultâneo do chuveiro elétrico com outros eletrodomésticos. Anfitrião dificilmente alcançável!!! Processo de locação muito burocrático!!!

We booked for a family Christmas as we had family in Stow. So the proximity was the main reason for booking

The property was very dirty, there was mould and cobwebs. Blood spots on the carpet. The plumbing was poor, not able to get cold water out of the bath tap and the showers had intermittent flow. The pump was very noisy and worst of all it was only possible to get one shower before running out of hot water. (6 adults and a baby in the house) There were dog hairs on the bed linen when we first arrived. In the lounge three dining chairs were not usable as they were very wobbly and there were two settees so only 4 people could sit at one time. The kitchen pans were rusty and one fridge was unusable.

Great location just 10 mins walk to Bourton on the Water. Ample off street parking for 3 cars. 2 x ensuite bedrooms (1 x superking dbl and 1 x twin) and 2 further bedrooms sharing a bathroom (1 x twin and 1 x compact single). Plus an additional downstairs WC. Great layout for a group of friends, spacious communal areas downstairs. Pet friendly with secure/small garden. Good dog walks from the doorstep. Very comfortable beds. Efficient heating. Cosy lounge / dining room with spacious conservatory. Friendly and flexible management team and a nice welcome pack!

House was a bit scuffed around the edges and could do with a bit of TLC/deep clean/re-decoration. Bathrooms will need to be upgraded soon

Great location. Cosy and Comfortable. Parking for 3 cars was very useful.

The house is in need of some maintenance here and there. Better cooking facilities would have been useful particularly clean pans and a working dish washer.

For what we paid the facility’s were amazing .

The cottage was big (maybe even too big given that our kids chose to share a room. The common spaces are super cozy. The location is great.

Nothing. The only downside of the cottage is the kitchen, which, despite being very big and comfortable for our needs. Did not feel entirely clean and could use some refurbishment. However, this did not affect our stay or enjoyment in any way.

Location excellent. Easy walk Into town. Beds comfortable.

Living room area a bit of a squash for six although dining area compensated well.

The location is absolutely perfect for all the sightseeing locations in the Cotswold, especially Bourton on the Water.
