Barton Cottage

Well appointed, stylish, clean and comfortable. Quiet location. Delicious cake plus supplies like milk, bread and eggs. We will book again in the future.

The location was perfect. In a small village down a track. It was quiet and peaceful. The cottage was very clean with everything you would expect for a self-catering holiday. There was plenty of parking. Free WiFi. Welcome basket with milkl, bread, eggs,butter, and a very tasty cake.

The cottage was lovely, very clean and so so cosy. It had absolutely everything you need. Very high attention to details. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need from cutlery to air fryer. The living area had a super comfy sofa with smart tv with netflix and amazon for guests. Board games available too if you get bored of the tv. The best is the manual, everything you need to know is in there, I suggest to take the time to go through it. Very helpful. The cottage has 2 bedrooms we only used one, the bed is extremely comfy and there is a smart tv as well, and 2 remote control in both nighstands. I really like this little touch😀. The bathroom Very nice with a walking shower. Everything about the cottage was spot on. The outside. You have a big patio like space with everything you need and space for your car. Very safe with a gate, so it was OK for us letting our 2 furry babies out. There is a little shed where there are 2 bird feeders hanging. From the kitchen window specially in the morning you can see all these little beautiful creatures dancing around feeding...I felt like in a fairytale! Jane the hostess is extremely nice, she even baked us a vegan carrot cake which finished in a day, she made sure the butter was plant based and even the hand soap, body wash and body cream in the toilet were vegan. She promptly lent us a pair of wellies boots when I told her we forgotten my husband's. I met Rosie her horse who is very good with dogs and her little dog a lovely jack Russel. The surrounding are very nice you are submerged in the countryside with peace and quite all around. Heaven! There are a lot of long walks we only managed the closest one because the weather was too cold and dump. And also we visited Kilve beach, and omg what a view! We very extremely lucky because while we were there the weather gives us a break and the sun was shining suddenly! Gorgeous, breathtaking I strongly recommend it!

Lovely cottage, cosy and sweet, a perfect home away from home Jane was amazing even offering a complementary bottle of wine to calm out nerves as our drive there was a bit long (all the way from Yorkshire). We loved our experience and would love to come back there obe day!

Amazing property. The fixture and fittings were of good quality. Everything you could want was in the kitchen. It was very clean and well looked after. The arrival pack was very welcomed and all of good quality. The owner was very pleasant and willing to help with all our needs. The information pack was also very informative. The walk in shower was great. It was very quiet no road noise as it sits back off the road. The views from the hallway window was fab Jane (the owner) was very welcoming

Sadly the mattress was a bit soft for me but the bedding was good quality. We did find walking to the village was a awkward, no path along a busy road but that wouldn't put me off from returning.

Little touches to make life easier. Lovely property.jane left us a lovely cake.

Only one bathroom.

Its a great little place, very peaceful, lovely location. The host was super helpful. It was a great touch to have some basic food items available on arrival, plus a lovely cake. That was really helpful.

Luckily I took along an extra duvet just in case it was cold and I needed it, not because it was cold but because my husband is a duvet thief! So extra duvet or covers could be helpful for someone else too perhaps. We learned about how induction hobs worked which was something we didn't know. Always learning!

Cleanest property I've ever rented, host Jan totally thought outside the box with all the little extras no one normally thinks about.

My only gripe was on the pictures it showed a lovely backyard of grass enclosed when actually it was completely separate wich was disappointing.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Jane and Rob have thought of everything and are perfect hosts.Jane also cooks and delivers lovely meals to the door on order. Little touches like watching the birds feeding from the feeders and drinking from the little water feature, whilst drinking my morning coffee from the Nespresso coffee maker, really made our few days away.
