Swallow cottage, Over Kellet

Everything about the cottage was perfect for what I needed to travel with our dog on my own for the first time as hubby was away snowboarding. Our dog lives the underfloor heating…I did too!

If I had to think of one thing it was that I couldn’t find the keys to open the window, but I’m sure that was my fault for not looking properly and Kate the owner did say to message her if I needed anything. But as this was just a minor thing and she was so busy with the stables I didn’t want to bother her. TBH there was nothing that me and my dog didn’t like.

The location is perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage has everything you need with such attention to detail. Stayed the same time last year and will hope to do the same next year

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, so quiet and lovely. Very cosy and lovely and warm you could actually live there it has everything you need and more. Would love to go back in summer and sit outside. Added bonus of seeing the horses pass by outside.

Absolutely nothing. Ideal getaway to escape and just relax. We will be back.

Everything about this place is excellent! The quiet, rural location; the beautiful surroundings; the lovely, comfortable little cottage, which was extremely clean, well equipped and furnished with literally everything you need; the beautiful enclosed garden for my dogs to enjoy safely; and the lovely hosts. I booked this little getaway especially for my 2 dogs' birthdays, as it looked like a beautiful place for them to enjoy. I wasn't wrong, and it was more beautiful than in the photos. Our stay was absolutely perfect and my dogs thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It was also my partners birthday whilst there, so it was celebrations all round, in a beautiful, tranquil setting; absolutely stunning. I really didn't want to leave, so 2 nights there just wasn't enough. The moment we returned home, I booked to return, but for 3 nights this time. I can't wait!

Rural location on a farm with easy access to Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Silverdale National Landscape. The property was very clean, comfortable and had excellent heating. Nice outdoor space. Powerful shower.

The location outside Over Kellet in the local countryside made it a really peaceful setting. The enclosed garden area enabled our dog to sniff around off lead and keep safe. The property was well appointed. Kate the owner was very friendly.

Nothing major. Would just have liked a mattress that fitted the bed base 100% adding a couple of inches to the double bed.

Well well what can I say, stay here 2 nights new year eve and new year day with my partner and a dog. Cottages absolutely BEAUTIFUL 😍. So big, very warm, cosy, feeling homely, very comfortable! Kitchen got everything in that we needs, perfect. Garden are AMAZING, our Lulu ( dog ) feeling so freedom at garden as it's full wall around, cabt escape.. View are stunning.. the bed are are wow comfortable! Everything's just spot on. Just 1 things shower isn't hot enough we couldn't get it hotter but sinks both are hot. Alsi bedroom skylight struggling to close blinds but we did it eventually. Main thing if need anything just message them owner and they will definitely respond very quickly. High recommended. We will definitely be coming back again 100000%. Thankyou so much we have the best time and relaxing just what we needed!!
