Swallow cottage, Over Kellet

There was nothing not to like, upon meeting Kate and Ryan they was so friendly and accommodating. the property was in lovely condition inside and out and set in lovely quite location. I would definitely book again,

Great location with helpful hosts.

The cottage itself was so lovely and cozy, the kitchen has everything you would ever need. Very spacious living area and bedroom with lots of space. The garden was great for our two dogs with it being enclosed. It was like a home from home with the host providing anything you would possibly need, including dental chews for the dogs, which they enjoyed throughly. We had such a relaxing few days, so peaceful and quiet which is just what we needed. It’s in such a good location, we drove into Windermere for a walk with the dogs and also along the promenade in Morecambe Bay, both just short drives away. I would absolutely recommend as we have had a lovely few days. There was some lovely little touches, such as a little book with some information about how Kate and Ryan came to own the property, some instructions regarding WiFi, heating and oven and You can also write about your stay for the next guests. There is also a folder with information and leaflet’s about the surrounding areas and to give you ideas on what you can get up to. Thank you ☺️

Nothing to dislike but we couldn’t get the water hot enough in the shower but think that may be something I was doing ! I would have messaged the host, and I’m sure they would have helped us as Kate was lovely and came and introduced herself and said we were just to ask if we needed anything, however it was quite late at night and did not want to disturb them.

Location was perfect for the Lakes and for Morecambe but we just went for rest and relaxation at the cottage as we have been before and just love staying there. We love going in the summer when the swallows are flying overhead and we can sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet. The cottage has everything we need and the bed is so cosy and comfortable. And the safe, enclosed garden is perfect for our two dogs. We like to see the horses too. I can highly recommend Swallow Cottage if you love nature.

To be absolutely honest, the worst part of going to Swallow Cottage is having to leave it to return home. It really is my perfect place.

Fantastic location with beautiful scenery. The cottage is so light airy and spacious really tall ceilings, comfortable double bed and modern walk in shower. The outdoor space was great for our dog as it was all enclosed. Close to Carnforth for all local amenities. Shops, takeaways, butchers, cafes etc. would definitely stay again highly recommended
