Carp's Rise Cottage

Lovely location, fully equipped kitchen, having 3 bathrooms was useful

4 friends in their 50’a away together, was expecting two single beds, which was actually a daybed with a pull-out bed underneath that turned it into more of a double bed. Fortunately, there was a sofa bed in the lounge and we found spare bedding, so all were happy and it certainly didn’t spoil our weekend!

Being my first stay in cottage, I was apprehensive with the booking, but the host on this occasion was amazing and stayed in touch promptly answering our queries

Outside the property you get alot of flies, I think that's because if the lake but I wasn't prepped for it

The location was perfect for us and the facilities on site were excellent - we used the outdoor pool every day. The host left us some goodies which were very well received. The kitchen was very well equipped and plenty of logs for the fire.

We struggled a little with the showers and getting the temperature right on the water but there were 4 of us all trying to use the facilities. We managed in the end :) after reading the instructions properly. The accommodation guide was very helpful.

Cottage was in a village with variety of activities. Great spot if you like walking, cycling, boating and swimming
