Church Hill Farm

This property was located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We absolutely loved the surroundings and wish we could wake up to a view of the Wye Valley every day. The property itself had everything we needed, a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of reception rooms, comfortable furnishings, and good-sized bedrooms.

The house was a touch cold but as it was August this didn't bother us too much. I guess if you came in the winter months this could be an issue.

Nice views and large property. Plenty of space, nice large kitchen. 7 of us staying and we didn’t feel we were tripping over each other. Easy to get to other locations from.

Water heating and central heating was a little hard to figure out.

Beautiful spacious traditional house, we loved it. 5 bedrooms: Upstairs 3 lovely large bedrooms (2 x twin and 1 x king) with large shared bathroom and shower. Downstairs 2 bedrooms (1 x small single, 1 x medium large double) both with ensuite. Ground floor bedrooms were at the back of the house, so less warm than upstairs, also access to the double was through the single or a separate door to outside with a key. Large kitchen with pretty well everything you need and large table. Lots of family rooms - huge tv/lounge room and separate dining room. Some games provided, plus it's great for hide and seek! Internet is a bit patchy in parts of the house but worked in main areas. There is a modern converted barn down the drive, which can be separately booked if more room is needed. Good walks, and a fair bit to do in the area, especially if you like castles or canoeing.

It was a lovely house. The configuration of bathrooms/bedrooms is a bit different, but we made it work. The access roads are very narrow and look a bit gnarly, but were absolutely fine for our normal family cars. Low sports cars might have difficulty.

Quiet and Comfortable Beautiful Countryside

Fantastic property. Everything was just perfect. Kitchen fully equipped. Beds were super comfy and the view was amazing. We are already looking for dates to come back again! Christine was a wonderful host.

Lovely quiet location with a well equipped kitchen.

The cottage was wonderful. It had everything we needed for our New Year celebration. We took our dogs and the location was perfect with wonderful walks and views. It was very clean, cosy and well equipped.

I can’t fault it; there is nothing I would change.
