Outstanding cottage in beautiful location. Brilliant for walkers. One of the best we have stayed in over the past 30 years

The access road is challenging

Yew Tree Cottage is a self-contained stay therefore you cook for yourselves. Everything you need is there for you in this quaint little place. By car, not too far to travel into Bath.

The cottage is on a very steep lane appropriately named 'steep lane', so not ideal for cars, although we were pre-warned by the owners to park at the top and walk down. The following should be viewed as constructive; by no means the end of the world. The clear drinking glasses are very dishwasher fogged so could do with replacement. The oven 'grill' looks like it has never been used so when turned on it started smoking... a lot. Had to open the windows and settle for using the little toaster instead. The rest was near perfect.

Everything, it was beautiful inside and out. it was so homely to look at from the outside and then the interior was lovely and the layout was great with so many space savers. using all the space they had to make it even more amazing

it isn’t a dislike just a tip… if you have a big car… park at the top and walk down the hill

We arrived late but the house was warm, cosy and welcoming. The host had left us some wine and the kitchen was well stocked with basics. The house is really nicely decorated with plenty of modern comforts.

It was in a gorgeous setting. It was warm, comfortable and homely.

Mattress was just a little soft for us. However, that can be down to personal preference.
