Whitebrook Cottage

The keys were in a key safe, with the instruction that an email would be sent to me on the day of arrival with the code to this safe. No such email was ever sent. I tried to contact the property as advised by Booking.com, but it was unreachable. In the end I had to resort to calling Booking.com customer service to able to get inside. I spoke to a neighbour of the property, who remarked that most people spend a lot of time entering the property, so this seems to be a common problem. A frustrating start to what was otherwise a mediocre stay.

Cosy and warm cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Good location and easy to get to.

Quite a few areas were not clean including the floors and oven. We also had to clean some of the crockery, cutlery and pans before using them.
