Immaculate property in a great location. So many walks and welcoming pubs nearby. Comfortable living room and well equipped kitchen.

Nothing! Had everything we needed.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation set in a very peaceful residential area within a short walk of all Stanhope's amenities. There is parking for two vehicles on the driveway and a private rear garden which gets the morning sunshine. In the evening, all you really hear out there are the sheep across the river and the occasional owl.

There is nothing to dislike.

The house was spotless and had everything that you need even down to providing hot water bottles and torches in case of a power cut. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for clothes, shoes, bags etc. There are tv’s in every bedroom and sky tv in the living room. We had a 4 year old with us and she enjoyed playing with the toys provided. There was even a bottle of wine and chocolate provided, a lovely touch.

From the minute we entered, the place lived up to its name! Cosy, warm and beautifully decorated and furnished. The house had everything needed (& more) for a comfortable and relaxing weekend. Special mention to the comfy beds! Usually struggle the first night, not here! Out like a light and a very comfy, undisturbed sleep. We did the train trip from Stanhope to Bishop Auckland - very handy as it is literally on the doorstep. The journey itself was amazing and very scenic (although absolutely nothing at Bishop Auckland and we had 4 hours to kill before return journey. Very run down place with few shops. Stayed in a dog friendly cafe for 2.5 hours!) Will definitely be back again as we come to and stay in Stanhope a couple of times a year for a break away. This new gem of a house will be a regular now as, sadly, our usual haunt has been sold. Matters not, this house is superior in every way! Thank you.
