Ty Nant Cottages and Suites

no information about local walks but we had coffee at the Riverside Cafe and lunch in the High Street in Burford, which was very nice. we had a wander around Carterton too, which was ok too. we were unlucky with the month we visited because the animal sanctuary was closed for winter, as were other interesting places to see.

on reflection, I thought it was unreasonable to expect us to book in as late as 4pm, and book out at 10am; and expect us to empty the bins and put them in the recycling bins downstairs, and strip the bed - one expects that housekeeping is included in the fee... It would have been nice to see some literature in the studio detailing what the owners would have recommended for sightseeing, with their local knowledge.

It was clean, had everything we needed, good communication with the owners and peaceful.

Great location, we visited with our dog. Accommodation is only 10 mins away from dog friendly wildlife park and plenty of dog friendly pubs around. Lovely and clean accommodation has everything you need. It snowed when we were awaiting accommodation was lovely and warm

Key was left in the door for us on arrival. Owner was very attentive and allowed us to depart later which was great. Beautiful location overlooking fields with horses

A great property with a really nice set up and lots of amenities (we made use of the cot, iron, hair dryer and more). Great shower. The hosts were attentive and helped us sort out issues with the heating. Parking was easy. Lovely walks from the cottage. Would recommend!

Our only issue was the heating which was difficult to control ourselves so it went from too cold to too hot - but the hosts helped us adjust! Would be better if there was clear guidance for how to adjust temperatures in different rooms or to switch heating on/off (sorry if we messed it up trying!).

Lovely accommodation with comfortable beds. Great communication and were kept updated as to when our rooms would be ready. Instructions were clear. Highly recommend!

No milk for coffees as one minor point of feedback.

Great communication in the lead up the to the stay made the arrival and getting into the accommodation very easy. There was everything we could’ve possibly needed in terms of cooking and cleaning up after ourselves. Even little extras like milk in the fridge for us to have coffees and teas which were also provided. The hosts understood we were attending a wedding locally and offered extra keys incase different couples wanted to come back at different times. The living area was perfect for eating and also enjoying a chat and a few games of cards the hosts had even added an extra chair to cater for us all! All of the information beforehand and also dotted around the cottage was really helpful for use of facilities. The bedrooms were all of varying size but perfect for what we needed. Beds were very comfy! There were pillows and cushions so you could choose how many you used; also blankets which we didn’t find we needed (as the cottage kept warm even when the heating was off!) were a lovely touch.
