Scarborough Central Townhouse

The location was great with easy access to the shops, restaurants and take aways were close by. We all have a relaxing weekend.

Location, near to railway station, and Sainsbury's supermarket. Very comfortable.

Apart from the living room, with its own heater, the house felt a bit cold. The provision of tea/coffee was minimal, especially for three people over a week. For the overall quality of the accommodation, the lack of any shampoo/shower gel in the bathrooms was a considerable disappointment (even 3-star hotels provide such facilities as a matter of course). We had to go out to purchase our own! The supply of towels was inadequate (for three people for a week's stay) and the quality of the towels was felt to be poor (size and thickness).

Outside bins hadn’t been emptied for some time and were extremely smelly. Would have preferred a dishwasher rather than a wine fridge. The large top bedroom was stiflingly hot as there is only one tiny window in the roof and the fan couldn’t cope with the trapped hot air. Not a lot of hanging space in 3rd bedroom

Clean, spacious, everything you could need really. Good communication all round. Beds comfy, bathroom luxurious, tea, coffee, milk and a few basics where a nice surprise too. We didn't use the parking disc as paid to use Sainsbury's car park (behind the house) and a 30 second walk away. Shops and takeaways a minute walk away. Very little noise from the road, even at the front. Would happily return.

DVD player isn't compatible with the smart TV, something to be aware off The place needed a bit of TLC but it didn't spoil the visit.

The house was fine but is in need of some tlc the top floor bedroom needs the roof painting as it is just plaster in places. All the bedroom doors want painting as the are down to wood in some places and the front door could do with a lock of paint.

No dustpan and brush for kitchen. No oven gloves. No bread bin. No teapot. No hand towels for kitchen. None of the doors downstairs actually close so that makes it hard to keep any heat in from the fire. All it needs is a bit of tlc and better closing mechanisms on the doors downstairs.The things I have described did not spoil our break. Ok

The location was good. The rooms in the property were spacious and clean.
