West Cottage, Cerne Abbas Lane

Very pretty and peaceful location. Lucy asked if we minded her horses grazing on the lawn outside in the evening. As we love horses we were very happy to see them. Lucy’s dog was an added bonus. We were lucky with the weather and it was lovely to sit outside with a G & T in the sun.

Stairs but that’s because I’m not used to them.

Location.

Dirty, chipped and dirty crockery, sofa had multiple stains. No mattress protectors, dirty windows which didn’t close / lock.

local pubs and village shop were closed needed to use the car more than expected

We loved the peace and quiet and the very pretty location.

On the bookings.com itinerary, it stated there was shampoo and conditioner, and we didn't see any. A couple of the dining chairs were a little rickety.

Kitchen utensils could have been better, bigger dinner plates, plates were very small to serve a meal on, better choice of saucepans, only one saucepan.

The cottage was really warm and comfortable. We experience rain and stormy weather and were able to dry clothes and shoes quickly and get warm and cosy by the log fire. We liked that the master bedroom had an ensuitem and the kid's room was very comfortable too. Toy box kept the kids entertained.

Wi-Fi coverage upstairs was poor. One of the windows in the twin bedroom was not possible to lock.
