At The Bay

Location is good just outside St Andrews. It is a large house with sperate WC and bathroom. Large main bedroom with huge very comfortable bed

Twin room beds were not great according to boys. The house wasn't the cleanest with the following making us wince. When we arrived, there was a large pile of dirty kitchen roll on outside of the kitchen window as we entered. The windows have had additional wood panels attached to make them look like multiple panes., These are starting to rot and harboured leaves, insects and dirt on almost all the windows. The dog ran out from under the sofa with half a bottle of juice that had been there for God knows how long. There was food residue on one of the plates in kitchen. We lifted the sofa cushions to straighten them up when had all been sitting on sofa and underneath was filthy. Peanuts, dirt and debris that had accumulated over a long period. I do not think the cushions had been off for a long time, if ever. We also ran out of toilet roll, luckily was just as we were leaving. Although large and a nice house, it does lack a bit colour and cosiness. There is no fire in the living room, and the electric heating will be hard to work. I am an electrician so no problem, but older people may struggle. The hot water ran out after first day. Again, I found E7 timer and boosted the water several times to make sure we had plenty going forward. We have stayed at similar priced cottages, and these had log burning stove and one had a hot tub. This had nothing of the extras that make a trip that bit more special.

Excellent location just a few minutes drive into St Andrews yet so quite in the countryside. Comfortable beds and furnishings. A great outdoor space.

The property was well kitted out with modern goods great shower pressure.

No response from property when I messaged them. The front door almost impossible for my wife to open. (This was previously noted in another review but nothing done). Not always hit water as on a timer. Pillows are awful! Windows needed cleaned outside. Bedroom door handle not working.

At the Bay was a perfect spot to enjoy St. Andrews and the surrounding area. There are lots of dining and sightseeing opportunities within a short driving distance and the views from the property itself were lovely. The house was clean and comfortable, and well appointed for meal prep and laundry.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had such a lovely stay at the bay. It was the best of both worlds for us, close enough to St Andrews we could drive in 5/10 minutes but also far enough away for some peace and countryside. Location is brill, quiet and relaxed. The views are incredible. The apartment itself is lovely, very nicely decorated, so spacious and had everything we needed. We enjoy cooking our own foods when we are away and it had everything we needed. Property was super clean, beds were comfy and the instructions were really easy to follow.

Nice secluded position but only ten minutes from the centre of St Andrews. Sea view in the distance.

Everything was perfect nothing could be improved on. Ideal for a quiet break with friends .

A cozy cottage located on the countryside. Plenty of space for 4 people, well equipped and very comfortable. Near st Andrew’s but not in the town.
