"Delightful experience!"

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that great care and attention had been put into creating a cosy and inviting retreat. The lodge was spotless, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a truly comfortable stay. The little details throughout the space made it feel like a true home away from home. The private hot tub was a standout feature—perfect for unwinding and relaxing during our holiday. The well-appointed kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the private entrance added an extra touch of privacy to the experience. One unforgettable highlight of our trip was the owner's thoughtfulness. On the third evening, they kindly knocked on our door to inform us of the Northern Lights' appearance. Without their heads-up, we might have missed this magical sight. Seeing the stunning Northern Lights from our window was a delightful experience.

Despite following the owner’s instructions to adjust the settings, the shower water never reached a comfortably hot temperature. This made it difficult to fully enjoy the facilities, especially during our stay in Orkney's cool weather.

"Lovely little lodge"

Nice location in Finstown - equidistant from Stromness and Kirkwall and nowhere is too far to get to. Lovely decor, comfortable beds, warm and cosy lodge

A bit too small unfortunately - not really enough space for our 3 suitcases and bags but then not enough space to unpack everything from our cases. TV - we could not get Netflix as advertised. Instructions for the shower incorrect (there is no red button? and left and right instructions wrong way round) and we could only get the oven to work as the instructions for the cooker were basic and unhelpful - having said that we did ha e an enjoyable 5 day stay.

"Really fun and different stay for our little family."

This was a super stay for our family of four in Orkney. Very clean and organised. All facilities we needed were there. Enough room for us and two kids (10 and 12).
