Lovely 2-bedroom Seaside Retreat with Free Parking

Relieved to find the property seemingly clean on arrival. Functional property for a short stay. Town centre and beach close by. Supermarkets local too. Good nights sleep, bed comfortable. The beach was impeccably clean and staff so welcome and great customer service at places we visited. Southend on sea can learn a lot by visiting Great Yarmouth seafront. Self check in, communication at start of booking good.

The area looked uninviting, and not welcoming. Small square to park in and manover. The house was a house not a home...for the first time in my life I was shocked to find No welcome instructions or even a token packet of biscuits. OK there was coffee in the bottom of the jar and tea bags. Couldn't work digital t.v with fire stick after long delayed journey so not the welcome start I'm used too. No response from property owner untill I left message after one night's stay where I said we've left early, gone home. Sofa very uncomfortable. Bathroom needs a little TLC and fridge freezer door replacing. Hole in kitchen wall where someone has opened the door so hard it's gone into the wall. Little niggles on a bad start and frustrating journey with delays and road works affected our mood and the lack of welcome made my husband want to leave on arrival, but I convinced him to stay the night. See how things go. Feedback book should be available to ensure customer experience is a pleasurable and positive one. From the reviews and my previous trips elsewhere I always advocate for the independent trader. Sadly not this time, sorry don't feel comfortable leaving this review. Maybe as the summer season has gone there isn't so much attention to detail gone into our stay. Will definitely be returning to great yarmouth but not here.

Nice, clean, convenient, modern and comfortable.

This was a short stay just one night and the house is perfect. For a week here it would be also perfect. Great location within walking distance of the town. Parking outside which is also a Bonus in great yarmouth. The place is plenty bug enough for a family staying here without getting under each others feet.

No turning circle in the street so if there was a few cars parked then it maybe a little tricky to turn the car round. But this cant be helped, and I would hope the neighbours parking around would be conciderate.

Great facilities, lovely clean modern kitchen. Convenient location close to everything. Nicely decorated, comfy beds, nice little patio garden although we never used as it was wet weather!

It is on a noisy road, nothing against the house but just a heads up that there are boy racers up & down frequently and seemed a lot of emergency services. Not a problem for me with earplugs but good to know!

The actual house was quite new and generally ok. But not a good experience

The bed is a cheap wooden slatted bed with unstable frame underneath. It moves and fell apart and sunk when we were trying sleep. The bedside cabinet all 4 legs were not attached properly and it falls all over the place. No locks on either bathroom door. No tv in bedrooms. Wobbly downstairs toilet. Didn't even risk the bath or shower. Because of rhe faults especially rhe bed we had.to move to a different apartment after I complained and this meant lugging all the cases etc to new place. The bed was stronger but metal frame aluminium and srill very unstable. No tv again in room. Sofa was uncomfortable and wobbly also As for the parking me and my son are very experienced drivers, and we drive trucks for a living and yet we found the parking so difficult. There is no room to get in the cramped spaces. A van parks opposite on yellow lines stopping you getting out and the tiny lane to access it is very difficult to manoeuvre. It was the worst car parking I have had and I have had some bAd ones. It really has been the worst experience. I dont often leave a bad review but customers need to be aware rhat although the house is generally nice. Cheap homeware is being used with no effort to repair or resolve. Very cramped in rooms also. Not much room between beds. I would really recommend you dont stay here and only gave some points because the house is nice looking inside. Don't be fooled in the pictures. Its worse than it looks.
