Chapel Lodge - Roof top garden!Perfect for your family

Location excellent.

3 small rooms downstairs with the 1 bathroom. I bathroom on the level of the kitchen, lounge and a lovely en-suite upstairs. With 3 people downstairs wasn’t ideal. Needs a little tlc the paintwork could do with a touch up. Car parking not at the location of the property.

Great location, great facilities. Clean and fairly comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water and milk in fridge for our arrival.

Very smelly drain odour in basement. It was quite cold in the house but we were out most of the time. No locks on the toilet doors and needed higher tog, quality duvets as it was cold in bedrooms. No windows in a couple of bedrooms and unable to close out light from skylight - so woke up too soon! Sofas could be a bit more comfy, one was hard and the other a sofa bed, so not so comfy to sit on. Fairly noisy as in city centre so to be expected. You need to treat black mould in shower tile grout as it will only get worse.

The location is excellent and the lodge is perfect with everything you need for a stay.

Location, decor and space

Not enough toilet paper, towels and spare blankets (4.5 tog duvet isn’t enough in winter). When I contacted them, toilet paper and extra towels were provided. Though not an extra blanket.

Location was excellent, bedrooms, linens, washroom on every level.

Nothing, although there is only one bedroom that was not on the lower level - it was a fabulous room!

A perfect central location to walk to all the man attractions. I had originally booked for 5 people and the extra shower rooms were an attraction. We appreciated the milk in the fridge. The host was very swift in responding to communication.

Location is fantastic. Easy walk to all main sites, without being right in middle of centre. Communal area and bedrooms all clean and comfortable, nice and spacious. Had all facilities and mod cons. We had a problem with the key on the second night which was sorted quickly and professionally.

None of us found the beds particularly comfortable. Also Bath seems to have a real problem with seagulls, we all had a bad night sleep the first night with all the squawking outside. Not much apartment can do about this but advisable to bring ear plugs!

We booked for four people and the booking confirmation said that it we would have the entire property. The facilities that were shown when we booked were not available when we arrived. The description said that there were four bedrooms but only three were made available. It said that there were three bathrooms but only two were available to us. The property description is 'Roof top garden' and in the facilities it says that there is a balcony, patio and terrace. However, the only outside space was a small terrace with fake grass, a small table and two chairs (not enough even for four people let alone eight). We got in touch with the owners when we arrived but they said that not all facilities were made available to smaller groups. However, this is in direct contradiction of what we booked and we have a screen grab of our booking showing this to be the case. When we followed this up as a complaint with Booking.Com they could also not find any conditions that applied when the property was booked for less than 8 people. Booking.Com took it up with the property to seek compensation on our behalf but the owners were not prepared to offer any. In the event Booking.Com have promised me an £85 credit note. However, we are really disappointed with this because a property they are advertising on their website did not provide what was advertised.
