"Disappointing as we paid a premium price to stay over new year!"

2.0

Location was very good. Handy to travel around. Close to the town and walks.

BT free view box wasn’t working, tv stuck on one channel. Neighbour did try to help but it wasn’t a quick fix. Needs an engineer or new box. under floor heating not working in the kitchen and bathroom. As we stayed over new year was pretty cold. Apartment wasn’t clean! Grease on the tiles behind the hob and beans in the plug hole! Also cobwebs on the light fitting in the living room. The bed was comfortable.

"excellent facilities and location"

8.0

location and parking were excellent and the place had everything you needed

WiFi was a little weak of needing to do work and a little cold when the weather was really cold probably due to single glazing but throws and good bedding helped

"great location, peaceful, quaint!"

9.0

great location, close to portmeirion. nice and quiet in the winter time. Well equipped kitchen, lots of games/books/entertainment. Very accommodating staff, my partner messaged you privately asking if you could do something special for our anniversary on arrival and we arrived to some prosecco and some roses in the property for a small additional cost. Really appreciated! thank you

slightly cold in the winter as there’s no radiators, just electric heaters, but after they were on for a while and we wrapped up in a blanket it was fine :)

"Greaves Wharf House is a wonderful place to stay."

10.0

Porthmadog is a beautiful part of Wales. This property is right next to the harbour for lots of lovely local walks with our dog. The house was spotless, warm and everything we could possibly need was provided. We could park right next to the house and didn't use the car again until heading home. The property was well heated, very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Everything was on one level so very easy for me to move around. The local shops were 50 meters away with lots of good places to eat. The locals were very friendly and we were delighted that we could take our dog in every shop, cafe, pub and restaurants, that made our holiday so much more enjoyable to have her with us and she was spoiled rotten by everyone she met.

Having to come home. The weather was quite changeable but nothing extreme, we still had to walk our dog rain or shine. It is November. The TV signal broke up a little bit during the worst of the weather but it didn't spoil watching the World Cup.

"Anniversary Getaway"

9.0

The location was great to explore not just the local area but the wider North Wales mountains and coastline. The kitchen had pretty much everything you could want, it certainly was great to have a dishwasher and although I had read on a previous review that the shower ran too hot, we soon realised that the dial was rather stiff but after my husband tried it for himself it turned freely. The master bed was so incredibly comfy, I would of happily not got out of bed for the whole entire time had I not of wanted to explore the area. The place was very clean and although a very old building the interior did not feel old or run down at all. It was really nice having the 2 spaces in the car park as the ability to park outside in the layby wouldn't of been an option as vehicles seem to park up and not move for a great length of time. The green area right outside the property is so charming with the buildings looking over especially at night time, you really get the feel of how it would of looked 100 plus years ago.

To be honest a couple of minor things but nothing to report and more of a personal preference than a reflection on the property or hosts.

"A thoroughly enjoyable short break with good eating places within a short distance."

9.0

The location was excellent and Porthmadog has withstood lockdowns very well. The town has a good standard of cleanliness, which with various cutbacks is commendable . Nearby Borth Y Gest has a wonderful beach and we visited every day.

A private area to sit out in would have been nice , but it wasn't a big issue

"Nice short break"

Great Location with lovely views

Shower in property could do with replacing very hot or scolding hot water seemed to be the only temp due to the temp knob having a fault could be dangerous for older visitors or smaller children
