The location, facilities, cleanliness, staff was amazing 10/10. Truemans lodge itself was beautiful, spacious, clean, great location. The second lodge we were moved to was also clean and had great facilities but didn’t fit my search criteria or provide what we needed.

Sadly we did have issues. Firstly on arrival I realised the section on booking.com where it said getting into property had no code. So I tried to contact owners for two hours no response or options to leave voicemails mails. Luckily there was a member of staff attending the property for a different reason so he could let us in. He was great and very helpful! We were then told the hot tub was not working. I didn’t bring the car on this occasion and I have a new born so being locked out and stranded was not great! The location isn’t easily accessible and it was getting cold. We were moved the next day to accommodation with hot tub which was beautiful and clean BUT it was a hell of a lot smaller. The children had no TVs in their room and for a family of 5 + baby it was too small very cramped and simply not what we booked. When I tried to communicate with reception they weren’t really that bothered just said to email which I did and had no response.
