Turner Cottage

The cottage was beautiful. The village was idyllic and very friendly.

There was nothing to dislike

I've often wondered what it would be like behind the front door of one of these tiny looking single storey cottages that I see on the main streets of these old villages and now I know! A spacious attractive comfortable place for 2 people for a short stay. The kitchen was a well designed well equipped addition to the property. Norham is very attractive, quiet & right in the countryside but handy for the area and the A9

The bathroom was uncomfortably cold. I know that heating is probably the biggest cost for a host but it would've been nice to be able to control it for ourselves.

Great location, super comfy bed and lovely open fire to warm up in front of after a chilly day of walking. The host kindly left us an Easter egg too!

Very homely and super warm. Excellent location for coast and country - in a lovely village. Very responsive host. Super comfortable bed. Good shower. Nicely laid out on arrival. Goodie tray and plenty of firewood.

TV was difficult to operate / signal for iPlayer etc failed (by host tried everything to get it to work!) Heating controls were fiddly….but again host put it right after I turned it off and couldn’t adjust it back on.

Nice location away from the very busy Northumberland coast. Good layout for a couple and comfortable. Facilitated our stay at very short notice.

A good base to explore area.

On street parking always a worry. Will there be parking space close to property? On one occasion, neighbour asked us to repark car so he had more room for a visitor, which was fair enough.

A very quiet village - patio was good on a sunny evening. Cottage had everything you needed .

Location. Privacy. Dog positive.

Unclean bathroom /shower trap. Toilet bowl. Kettle needed descaling. Dusty surfaces.
