We had a lovely bank holiday weekend at Skirrid Cottage. The cottage is in a great location just outside of Abergavenny, surrounded by countryside. It was the perfect base for exploring and there are plenty of things to see and do including the scenic nearby town Crickhowell and lots of places to walk. The cottage itself is lovely and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Alison was welcoming and very helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend!

"Excellent cottage with a host that really cares."

A beautiful cottage, very well appointed and cared for. The hot tub was a real bonus. We were made to feel so welcome by Alison, she obviously cares about her cottages and about her guests even more. Both Alison and the cottage were also very doggie friendly which was amazing for us. The walks in the surrounding area are breathtaking and feel so numerous you could go somewhere different every day. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back.

A little more outside space for the doggies would be great but being able to use the garden meant this was not a problem at all.

Hostess and Host were excellent to us, super attentive and exceptionally helpful. Free wood for the fire, free bottle of fizz for booking, and free usage of washing utilities are provided, alongside all the other incredible services. I've never stayed anywhere nicer - They've really poured their heart and soul into the land around them to make it the best it can be at it really shows. I'll be telling everyone about this one - I don't think you'll find a better getaway in the UK.

Unfortunately, there was one massive issue - and it was that we had to eventually leave :(

"Great short stay, easy to get into Aber on the bus, just off the walk/bike path, quiet location."

Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The host, Alison, was incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs. A perfect short break in an excellent location. Would definitely visit again. If you are looking for a hot tub stay, this is your venue. Thank you.
