Well equipped kitchen, great views, cozy living room with log burner

The fireguard for the log burner was falling apart

"Very good"

8.0

Location was a short walk to the harbour and restaurants and pubs. Great views from the top floor.

Booking.com site was confusing. I wanted two separate bedrooms. One for each adult. The second bedroom was for young children only. On street parking was quite a walk uphill.

"A very pleasant stay in a cosy cottage with wonderful views."

9.0

Great location, very clean and wonderful views. We were lucky to be at the cottage when the Christmas fireworks and market were on, so had a great view of the fireworks.

It would have been even better if we’d had some milk left in the fridge.

"Brixham is well worth a visit and the cottage made a great base to visit it from."

8.0

We loved the view, the cleanliness and the location. The welcome pack was very good too.

The toilet seats were a bit dodgy and access to the garden a bit more precarious than we’d imagined. Probably our own fault.

"Perfect for a few days but need to be more transparent about the garden access"

8.0

The location is fantastic with views over the harbour from the 2nd & 3rd floors

There are steep steps to the garden area & the garden is not fully enclosed as there are shared steps to the neighbours property - definitely not dog friendly

"Another wonderful trip to Devon, we will come back to Brixham"

8.0

The location of the property was prefect, the views were great we watched the sunrise and set a couple of times. We only used our car once, everything was on the doorstop and this pleased the children.

"Good location but needs updating"

6.0

The cottage is well located and was clean. However, at night, people walking past in the street were noisy and would stare into the property. They were uncomfortably close

The property is dated and tired and needs to be painted/updated. Overall, I felt disappointed by the quality of fixtures and fittings, considering how high the rental was

"Thoughtful touches"

7.0

Location

Lovely cottage, but it lacked a few things like heat mats for the wooden table, some utensils like pizza cutter not supplied. Also, for the older generation, a folder on how washing machine /oven works, and recommended places to visit etc . I was told dishwasher tablets would be supplied (which were not), and the washing up liquid was virtually empty. I had to stand it upside down to get the last drops out. Although not stated, there was hand soap in both bathrooms, but when used, it had been watered down so much it wasn't usable. Better to remove than leave it like that. Unfortunately, I found a used and bloodied piece of toilet paper by the side of the bed tables on the floor, yuck!! Would be nice to have a place to hang up the door key, too, when inside the property . Although these are trivial things , it shows you give that little extra care and thought.
