"A great house for large groups."

Large spacious house in a quiet secluded location. Good for parking on and off drive. The house was well equipped and clean and easily accommodated our family of 7. Supermarkets and restaurants were a short drive away and it was a good base for exploring the coast and north Yorkshire. I didn't expect the house to be that good.

Some people would have liked a better garden with some outdoor seating/table but we were out and about most of the time so didn't bother us. You would be a bit stuck here without a car.

The location was lovely at the end of a crescent really helpful neighbours and an easy drive to some beautiful beaches, supermarkets and entertainment. The house is lovely and spacious for a larger family group with the added bonus of a garage to store wet gear ie wet suits, boards, buckets and spades from beach day fun. The out side tap is another huge bonus for beach loving families. The cost was good for the location compared to others in the area to accommodate pets. As a family he highly recommend The Spa hotel at Saltburn it does an incredible Sunday lunch. Skinning grove beach is stunning Marske beach is fantastic for an all dayer and has a little refreshment van that serves great coffee and brownies. When we first arrived we had a number of issues which we felt the need to contact the out of hours number immediately. Barry was very helpful and passed on our concerns to the office. He advised us to ring first thing in the morning to raise the concerns. The office answered and after warming up to a Monday am was both helpful and dealt with two of our three issues quickly and safely.

The property was not cleaned before our arrival and looking at previous comments this is a recurring problem which is not being addressed by the letting company I hope they don't pay a cleaning company! The property is in need of some attention. All the bathrooms need addressing from leaking shower cubicles to a tap that is hanging off the sink! There are no shelves or storage for toiletries and no loo roll holders. The main lights are movement sensor style with no on off switch and flick on and off ALL NIGHT unless you shut all doors. And having young The garden needs making pet secure/safe and some seating out side would be fantastic. There is no recycling done at the property and is dealt with through a private company to which we had NO information about and is a completely different day to the local council round and the information left, so we missed the collection the first week. The kitchen needs appropriate saucepans for the hob and some serving dishes and chopping boards would be a great help. We had a problem with the hoover to which on closer inspection we realized had the incorrect filter in. The end would fall off constantly again an easy fix. No iron but and ironing board!
