Twitchill Farm Cottages, Indoor Heated Pool, Peak District

Fabulous location and plenty of room for us all to enjoy our special celebrations. Lots of outdoor space to dine out ( which we did in the gorgeous sunshine) Fabulous swimming pool which the kids loved. Lovely touches such as a little honesty box for cakes chocolate and hot drinks. So sorry not to have met Sophie as I wanted to thank her for such a yummy cake 🍰. It was absolutely delicious. What a wonderful thoughtful start to our special weekend. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of bedroom choices and spotlessly clean.

This is not a criticism, more to help others who've never stayed out in the countryside. There is limited hot water which makes showering and washing up a little challenging. Catering for thirteen people meant having to boil the kettle to help with dirty dishes as there isn't a dishwasher. Showering also can result in cold water. However, it added to the fun, especially as we had gorgeous hot weather. Everyone understood and nobody moaned. Just enjoy and maybe bring some dry shampoo. I think the cottages relied on spring water so it's Understandable why this happens.

The swimming pool was excellent, however you need to be aware it’s not private and can be booked by others . You can book the times you want to use BUT if your arrangements change whilst there (weather ect) and you need to change the time you might find it’s being used. Cutlery needs to be sharpened 👍

The cottages are lovely , everything you want and well equipped. The area is very beautiful. Yh They left a lovely homemade chocolate cake on arrival as it was a special birthday. The outside space was a real boon as we had both cottages and the children ( and adults) loved being outside, chatting and playing. It was really great for a family party.

Hot water for the showers was a bit erratic. Best shower was in the swimming pool.

Everything was great - we had issues with the electrics in one of the cottage’s which was an issue as we had to manage the 15 guests in 1.

Fabulous location, swimming pool was a bonus (we used it several times). Lovely, clean and spacious property with a big garden. We hired both cottages at the same time, so had the whole place to ourselves - and the waether was fabulous!

There were 12 of us across the two cottages, and we loved how they interconnected on the top floor. We went for our annual sister weekend (first cousins - dad's side). Both kitchens are well equipped with everything you need to cook for all of us. Swimming pool was nice and warm even when the weather outside was miserable. Great views, great location and a if the weather was just that little bit warmer, we would have taken advantage of the walks. Mam tor a 1hr 20mins and bamford edge via lady bower was an hr. The host was very easy to contact.... we had all driven there after work, so we arrived in the dark. Shops local enough to get to for anything you have forgotten. Local Indian restaurant was spot on. Called the Curry Cabin. Pub opposite for a quick pint too.

House was lovely with plenty of seating, big kitchen area, nice big bedrooms with comfy beds Lovely garden area, lots of hikes nearby Swimming pool was the highlight of the stay- around the pool area was clean, plenty of seating and pool was warm and stayed warm for the duration of using it We had a lovely weekend and would definitely stay here again
