3 Bedroom Modern Town House - Derbion & Theatre 2 mins Walk

Superb location - very close to the train station and the city centre. Tesco supermarket just a few minutes walk away for essentials. Great communication with the owners who regularly checked in with us. The property was ideal for a short-term stay (2 nights).

Property was generally well presented, but a few details would have made our stay more welcoming. For example, there was a broken towel rail in the en suite, the hairdryer was missing and the heating was turned off when we arrived (on a day with extremely low temperatures).

Too hot with no way to cool the apartment down. Central heating constantly running despite 35+ temps overnight. No way to open windows, no fans (despite property listing saying it did have fans) Tumble dryer missing, lucky the house was so hot clothes dried anyway. Toilet was broken and not repaired despite contacting property on checking in. Significant mould in bathrooms Beds and apartment were much smaller then portrayed Apartment was much older then portrayed (def not “brand new”) Dirty dishes Only 3 forks in cutlery draw Gardens etc not maintained until we complained Garbage bins outside overflowing and used by other nearby properties meaning we had nowhere to put rubbish Slow/poor communication from property manager.

We found it very difficult to gain access to 29 Carrington Street as something is wrong with the front door lock. Also, we were not pleased to find the very mouldy remains of a meal in the microwave and rotting food in one of the kitchen cupboards. We also found that the smoke alarm had been disconnected and was lying in a kitchen drawer and believe this to be illegal. In general we feel that more care should be given to housekeeping before your next tenants arrive.

Good location, good value, clean, spacious, easy to park

Pretty poor communication from the host (payment didn't go through because of a problem on their end, lots of messages sent to me but no responses to my queries until we'd left, helpful links stripped from booking.com messages). A strange lack of the usual things - hand soap missing from toilet, no salt or pepper, no coffee-making facility (some instant coffee supplied), no kitchen roll, no cooking oil, limited cleaning things (one used j-cloth supplied, etc. Annoying to have to buy all that stuff for a two-night stay.
