Cardross Holiday Cottages

The cottage is in a lovely remote feeling area but close enough to towns for shopping etc. It was very clean and comfy and spacious. Water was hot , hosts had left fuel for fire and plenty of coal in coal bunker. Nice to have the option of.a bath aswell as shower. TV had Netflix and prime . Coffee and teabags and sugar left to use. Even had tumbledryers and washing machines on site. Will definitely be back.

Very minor issues, the plug for bath is too small so we had to improvise to stop water draining away. The sofa has seen better days. Property has storage heaters which are rubbish to be honest but fire makes up for it and rhe heaters in bedroom and bathrooms work instantly once switched on. The weather was horrendous , flooding with surface water on roads , Aberfoyle totally flooded , so was quite stressful on our way home as we did not know how bad the roads were going to be. A couple of local cottages had totally flooded and Amber rain warning for most of Central Scotland. So we were trapped a bit for our whole stay.

The kitchen was very small and furniture was very dated.

Very accommodating staff and responsive to questions and concerns Availability and proximity to family. The kitchen had all the utensils needed for family dinners Good WiFi speed for the kids tablets Comfortable beds and fresh clean linen and towels. Quiet location and great views

Was a bit out of the way but the track was safe to drive Could have done with a couple of throw cushions for the sofa (only because I'm pregnant but used the bed pillow) A usb plug socket would be a bonus in the kitchen.
