Cold, draughty, windows banged in the wind day and night. Oven was filthy, no oven-proof ware, had to unscrew a fry pan handle.to use. The numbered parking space doesn't exist. Front door lock needs attention. Uneven floor under carpet. Lump out of stone heath, dangerous rough edges. First time we went out turned off heater as requested. Took over 3 hrs to warm up again. Heater stayed on. Sat with windproof coats against the horrendous drafts. Those wooden slat areas are also just a continuous draught.. were we not committed we would have gone home

The location

The property was too cold, no central heating and a wood burner but no wood left for guests. I would have thought in winter months that would be standard. Notes provided before stay were don’t leave heating on due to cost. Not something you want to hear when travelling in winter. The flat was built up to be a NY Brooklyn apartment, unless you were a toddler or a very small adult you cannot stand up on the mezzanine floor.

Cosy, quirky apartment with loads of character, in an excellent location, just a short stroll to the old town, beach and shell grotto. Paul was really helpful and friendly. Excellent value and my kids loved sleeping on the mezzanine deck!

The shower temperature took a little while to get right but we figured it out in the end.

Where do I start with this place my goodness what a wonderful little getaway hideout. Such beautiful cosy rustic unique place to stay. The main bed was super comfortable and the way it has all been laid makes for easy stress free living. The ambiance of the place when fire was lit was just so special warm and comfortable-we loved the fire had it on every evening! Easy to access parking available Wi-Fi good both tvs worked place heated beautifully. What a wonderful host fantastic comms and info bravo Paul you’ve provided a beautiful setting and made it very easy to stay and go. Perfect for family’s and alike for short stays with added character and charm!

The shower was disappointing shame because the taps water pressure is very high I think adjustment could be made. My cat disappeared for the day and night inside property which caused alarm he hid in a gap behind the cooker he got in from behind cupboards which I blocked in the end when he came out. Be good to have the back of cupboards blocked off. I have seen some reviews about updating property although there is some updating that could be done ie the toaster not much equipment kitchen-had to buy own baking tray which I left for next visitors few spiderwebs behind bed on wooden wall the sink being so small in bathroom washing face is difficult without making a mess windows being old all of this for me added to the charm of the place.

The place was very cosy. It was easy to find and it was clean and warm when we arrived. There was coffee, tea and milk for our arrival. There was parking at the property and was close to the city centre by foot. Instructions for everything were clear and concise.

Property was clean, cozy and warm. Has a nook which was great for chilling out. Comfortable bed and cool dining area if needed

Exceptionally windy conditions meant the windows rattle but I am being very picky

The property was exactly like the pictures, very beautiful place. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Loved that we could bring the dogs along.
