Brooklyn lodge

Nice sized flat for a small family. Split level with kitchen and double bed + sofa and table downstairs, and a snug upstairs with TV. My daughter liked the snug where she slept upstairs and we watched movies up there. Good table/ booth by the window where we played games and ate dinner. Nice pub about 10 minutes walks away called George and Heart which does great food, and Tracey Emin's artist studio is on the same street - only open on weekends.

Kitchen needed to be a bit better equipped - there weren't many glasses. We came by train so we didn't have a car, and I wouldn't recommend staying there without a car as it's a bit of a walk from the old town and about a 25 minute walk from the beach. Nothing much near the apartment apart from a supermarket, so you do need a car to stay there. The bed upstairs in the snug was quite hard and the bedding and cushions could do with updating.

The apartment was very cozy and stylish. It had a great bachelor pad industrial New York feel about it. It was centrally located to the beach and shops, ideal if you want to walk everywhere. The host provided towels and toiletries which was a lovely little touch. Thank you

I suppose for 4 people it could have had a sofa bed as my children couldn’t share the upstairs mattress. My son slept on the sofa and kept falling off and my daughter slept on the upstairs mattress which she found slightly uncomfortable because it wasn’t thick enough, but this didn't detract from the overall lovely stay. Also would have been nice to have a normal tv downstairs as we missed the olympics. But we were barely home so not a big issue either.

We were given the code to the key box and it was super easy to get in. We were also given a good description of which keys to use for which doors. Super helpful!

The great thing about Brooklyn Lodge is it's unique charm and visual aesthetic that's great for a pic or two. Open plan, so food & drinks are social and the breakfast/dining area is a rarity not to mention some alluring artworks, overall great stay and the logbook is a fun idea! Thanks
