Please note dogs can be accommodated by prior arrangement at a cost of GBP 20 for up to a week, payable in cash on arrival. Please note if using a Sat Nav, please use the postcode CA11 0SZ and the turn off to Near Howe is slightly further down on the right-hand side. From the East (North and South) - Penrith and the M6 Traveling West on A66 from the M6 Motorway (Junction 40) • Continue 8 miles towards Keswick when you pass the turnoff to Troutbeck (A5091) • Continue for approximately 1 mile and take the next right hand turn signposted Mungrisdale and Caldbeck • Continue for approximately 1 mile to the sign for Near Howe is on the right hand side of the road • The drive way crosses two fields, and then rises past an old ruin up to the top of the hill where you will find the property A deposit may be required at the property.

"Superb"

Loved the location. It was amazing having the bird feeder in view of our window. We loved seeing the red squirrels each morning. The children's toy in the laundry room is a great idea. The little ones really enjoyed playing with the train set. It was really nice to arrive to plenty of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, plus fresh milk in the fridge. We got snowed in one day, which wasn't a problem because we were able to make great use of the gardens to build snowmen. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen supplies and cleaning items.

Location idyllic Beds very comfortable Andy the star gazing chap was fantastic

Washing machine and drier was in a different building and you needed £1 coins to operate it. This was fine but unexpected for us.

"Scenic getaway in a perfect location."

Incredible, scenic location. Really easy to stay, no hassle at all. Close to Keswick. Our dog absolutely loved the grounds. Beds very comfortable.

Nothing. Would be nice to have some blankets in the lounge for chilly nights but otherwise perfect!
