Fergies Canal Side Cottage

The location alongside the canal was lovely. We enjoyed feeding the ducks and seeing the barges go through the lock. It was also convenient for visiting the area. Warwick Kenilworth and Stratford are all close by. We visited the RSC theatres a 20 minute drive away. Pub next door is very good. The bedroom was very comfortable and it had a good bath in the bathroom with lots of hot water and nice bathroom soaps etc. Having breakfast outside by the canal was great. Good grocery shops nearby. All contact with staff was excellent.

The cottage is quirky with a canal boat vibe but the wear and tear took way its charm. The living area is cramped, dark and oppressive. The general cleaning was good but some essential change over checks had been missed. Some were rectified by a very friendly helpful staff member. It was a shame because with a bit of an update and an eye for detail this would have been a fantastic stay.

The cottage is so cosy and has everything you need.

Lovely well equipped little cottage ideal for 2. We arrived early and were able to check in on arrival. The location is perfect, canalside & right next door to a lovely pub serving food all day from 12. Great little cafe for breakfast less than 5 mins walk and Co-op close by too. 15 minute walk into Warwick town centre.

Only disappointment was the weather!

Location

The property is extremely small. In the 5 days we stayed we never once had enough hot water for two short showers. The air con units for the pub are mounted on the front of the cottage creating noise. Top bedroom mattress is uncomfortable

Friendly staff when we arrived.

Strong smell of cannabis in the landing area when we arrived, and during the night. Also the discount card for use in the pub had been hole punched through and we were told it wouldn't work. We felt we should be given the discount even if the card couldnt be swiped. We lost about £10 worth of discount in the bar for food and drinks. Top bedroom was cold and could have had a heater in it.
