"Great Value Stay"

8.0

Lovely canal-side location with an adjoining pub. Nice little cafe up the road (5 minute walk) for a reasonably-priced cooked breakfast.

Steep stairs to both the first and second floor bedrooms.

"Great location, quirky little cottage."

8.0

Great location for the town and nice to be on a canal, right next door to the pub. Cottage very cute and had character.

Bedside lights could have done with a dusting, the rack in the grill was missing and think the remote needed batteries but it didn’t spoil our stay, I’m sure the staff would have sorted it all for us as they was friendly and helpful but we was hardly in.

We provided our own breakfast.

We were very happy with the accommodation and no improvement needed.

"A Long Weekend by the Canal"

9.0

Fergie's is a very charming little cottage, next door to a delightful pub, by the Grand Union Canal. It's very compact (you can tell how much smaller in stature people were when the property was built), but it's warm, comfortable and with some lovely period features. Emerging from the front door to see narrow-boats and squadrons of quacking ducks is a tonic for the soul. And The Cape of Good Hope pub next door (where you can pick up the key) is a gem: lovely staff, great beer and good food.

The Wi-Fi network didn't work. That said, I'm not even sure I was that unhappy about it.
