Cragside View Lodge

This cost £150 a night. As such, you would hope for excellent accommodation well stocked everything working and a basic issue of cleanliness. We were instead met with the complete opposite. It's tired, shabby, and there is nothing for guests to even help clean. No hoover, no brushes. and certainly no cleaning products. The kitchen is not equipped sufficently with glasses or utensils. The toilet has a toilet seat on it that doesn't fit, and the shower holder is snapped in the second shower room, so it could not be used. The WiFi password in the welcome book doesn't work as it had not been updated. The welcome book states to report any breakages so they can be fixed. It is evident from previous reviews that it wouldn't matter if reported or not as the repairs suggested still haven't been fixed.This book stated there was a hairdryer, yet there isn't one. It is stated on the initial advert that there is a washing machine. There isn't one. There is a bin in the cupboard where it used to be that has attracted guests (mice) through a hole on the floor. Seriously, it's not worth the money we paid as everything good about the weekend had nothing to do with the lodge. The site is lovely. The woods we're fun to explore.

Beautiful lodge, clean and in an excellent location, hot tub is surrounded by trees and overlooking the green hills. Would definitely stay again 😁

There were no sharp knives/pizza cutter/scissors for pizza and garlic bread cutting so we struggled with a little butter knife!! Only bad point!

Property was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The main bathroom even has a bath in it which was lovely! The location at the very end of the park was very peaceful and quiet, and being right next to the woods was very convenient for the dogs. Hot tub was wonderful and very private, really relaxing !

No stool/chair for the dressing table - had to take the foot stool out of the living room No bathroom bins Cleaning could be better - fingerprints all over the TV Outside light didn't work so very dark when returning home on an evening Damp smell in bedroom and en suite Laminate peeling off doors and flooring - some bits were sharp Toilet seat in main bathroom doesn't fit No blind on the front door
