Cragside View Lodge

Had the loveliest stay to celebrate my husband handing in his thesis. It was clean and nicely decorated - and we loved how toasty and cosy the fire in the living room made the place. It was also as private as it appears in the pictures - you’re right next to the woods so the hot tub and swing feel like they’re a world away from everyone else. Would recommend!

Hot tub

Out side seating not fit for a dog got ther no electric hot tub freezing spoilt hole day wen u u look forward to something

Hot tub was very good.lodge was a bit disappointing as there was a few things broken no tin opener or wine opener as they were broken

Bit uncomfortable bed sofa front door was a bit hard to open

The location.

No TV signal

The cabin was clean on the inside..towels bedding etc were good Nice living room area... hot tub worked well .

The decking was dirty, and furniture was a health Hazzard to say the least .not usable. Cushions were disgusting and stored in very dirty outside storage unit, very unsuitable. The Entry Stairs were very dirty , covered in large animal poo's as was the cover to the hot tub and outside furniture. (I have taken photos.) Not all fresh either.. was totally shocked at state of outside area.. I had to wash the stairs and clean door before I could even unload my belongings out of my car. Disgusting. A large bucket filled with dirty green water , a small glass table which looked as if it had not been cleaned for weeks covered in green scum. Outside area was unusable. so much so I had to leave my visit early and cut short my stay in this lodge. Very disappointed. And I will not recommend or return to this property. The location is very end of park next to wooded area which is overgrown. Not good location at all. Tlc is needed in areas of kitchen and some better utensils for cooking and cleaning.

Hot tub.

The outside of the property was very messy and unclean. Bird was keep trying to get in and braying at window and door 4am in the morning and in the day! Wifi was very poor so couldn’t watch tv! Electric trips when you switch fire on. No washing up liquid, no extra tea towels. No extra bin bags.

The location right at the bottom of the holiday park was great - it was so quiet, so it felt like there was no one else around. The kids loved the hot tub.

Couldn’t get the freezer to turn on but as only there 4 nights didn’t need it so didn’t detract from the lovely stay.
