Salcombe Holiday Cottage

It was a great little cottage, exactly what we needed! It was my best friends birthday who has been unwell so we had a girlie sleepover :) loved that I could just get the key from the key box and late check out, nice little lie in. Also really loved the TV was connected to spotify and netflix!

I struggled with the heating, it was really cold when we got there, then we made it too hot.

Place warms up quickly Very good response from the owners when a message is sent and any issues raised were always resolved promptly - thank you. Well located for my purposes; close to the M6 with two fuel stations with shops within a ten minute drive - one is two minute drive away/25min walk. Lovely surrounding countryside Plenty of off-road parking Sizeable shower room / toilet with plenty of towels Good size double bedroom with plenty of drawers and two bedside lights Decent size wall mounted tv Double glazing significantly reduced traffic noise which did not disturb my sleep. Outside tap with hose on reel available for use - very useful I have stayed at this apartment on multiple occasions.

The house is not clearly marked. The house name stones are set back from the pavement, face 45degrees up into the sky and being unlit, not visible in low light. For future visitors: drive down the drive between the two houses with black railings and gates (after Northwood sign if travelling away from M6; after Tiggis car park if heading towards M6) and park at back of building next to the lorry trailer; keys through gate on the left. Very poor Wi-Fi connection which dropped in and out as a result of being transmitted from the adjoining house with other residents using the same connection. I found the low back sofa uncomfortable and the mattress very soft - neither suitable for my bad back. Heating completely turned off on arrival so cold and the controls not easy to use so frustration was the first impressions associated with this stay. Very busy rather narrow main road with lots of loose stones due to pot holes being thrown up by lorries and cars
