Bogma Cottages

Plenty of space for a family to relax after a day of exploring County Durham. Very large kitchen and comfy lounge room.

Location was great, not hard to get to. Quiet

There was nothing not to like. My only note would be that there were no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, burnt out light bulbs and the microwave was not clean.

Very spacious and great for a family or 2 couples. Beds are really comfortable

Spacious, well equipped, felt luxurious, location for access to both Durham and the north, enclosed garden for the dog, the llamas!

The noise of the A1(M) but we were aware that this would be the case and inside you were unaware of it.

I emailed Rita about Keys as I hadn't received notification about key collection. And I received a prompt reply

It was much bigger than expected. Very well equipped for making family dinners. Lots of towels. Two pillows in each bed. Been thoughtfully kitted out. We are a family of four. Two boys age 5 and 9. We visited Diggerland, Beamish and Durham Cathedral. A fantastic trip.

Nothing.

The place was huge, the kitchen was very well equipped, the massive tv was a novelty, the garden was big for the dog.

It didn’t have a farm feel. There were some farm animals in a small field but it wasn’t a charming farm environment. The house smelt of dust and slightly unclean and I opened the windows and doors for ages to try to get rid of it. You could hear the A1 from upstairs even with the windows shut. The massive tv was a novelty but access to it was inconsistent due to the internet quality. This place is good, when cost is factored in, as a base to be out all day, but wouldn’t be a relaxing place to spend the day due to not feeling deep cleaned and the noise

That we hadn't booked longer. Loved this accomodation so much we booked it for later in the year before we left.

The location was good for our needs. The property was easy to find. Close to Durham, and not far from Bishop Auckland and the Durham Dales A lovely, well furnished spacious cottage with everything we needed.

Space ,garden, value for money. Clean

Road noise quite evident in bedrooms not as discribed
