Traffic noise which was a hum from a busy road in the distant, this had already been highlighted prior

Literally everything you need. We stayed over Christmas and had no problems making a full Christmas dinner there. Milk and champagne were provided which was so lovely and the place was spotless. You can hear the road from the house even inside but that didn't bother us at all. Nice and tucked away. Lovely little family and dog friendly pub to stop in on a dog walk around the village. -The village tavern. Easy and quick drive into Durham which was good for a look around. Castle and cathedral were lovely. Especially at Christmas. Plenty of supermarkets Tesco/Lidl/Aldi all next to each other just a short drive away as well as fast food/coffee places a short drive away. Lovely, stress-free and peaceful Christmas away

The fridge wasn't that cold......but that's being incredibly picky! There's nothing to not like! It was fantastic and would 100% book again.

I had notified Rita to ask if I could check in early due to potentially arriving after dark and this was agreed. Rita met me at the cottage. The cottage is lovely and had everything I needed for my break. Comfortable bed and shower was excellent too. Short drive to Durham, which is beautiful. On the way back to Scotland, we stopped at Bamburgh castle, which is stunning. Beautiful beach and dog friendly village and pub. Although it was winter I sat in the garden to have coffee and this would be really lovely in Spring and Summer. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Nothing about the property. it was disappointing that there were so few pubs around that were open and many of the shops in Durham and around weren't dog friendly as they are in Scotland.

Spacious, comfy, ideal location. It had everything we needed.

Although noise from road was mentioned it was bad. Even with windows all closed you could hear it. We needed earplugs to sleep. Double glazing needed and a bit of an update due to wear and tear. Especially in the downstairs shower room.

Very cosy! Everything you need in the kitchen. Secure front garden for the dog.

Doors didnt close properly unless locked (upstairs bathroom and bedroom) No bin outside to empty kitchen bin. Heating and water didnt work properly until my husband turnes them up on the boiler.

Gorgeous cottage. With everything you could need. A home from home. I'm really fussy about cleanliness, and it was spotless. We were visiting family and will definitely be using the cottage again on our next visit.

Secluded location, quiet despite a motorway nearby! Warm and easy to manage. Stayed in another property here 2 years ago. We'll be back!

One or two fittings were in need of repair (shower door downstairs) but that didn't cause us,any inconvenience.

Lovely, spacious and clean property, ideal for small group or family. Good location to get to places around and about.

The noise from the motorway could be distracting if you’re easily distracted!
