Very spacious modern house with all the equipment we needed

Cleanliness could’ve been better. Stained carpets throughout and lots of minor broken bits. Garden unkept and neighbours were unbearably noisey.

Location was good for getting to St Leonard’s. Beds were comfy and kitchen was well equipped. Lovely to find washing up liquid/soap/toilet rolls/shower gel/ shampoo/conditioner at the property.

Needed bin in every bathroom. Women definitely need a bin in a bathroom- especially if you don’t want them flushing things down the toilet! Needed a far better oven gloves. There was only one for one hand which is not sufficient when taking something heavy out the oven. Carpets are very stained.

I liked the fact that there was a lot of space. We were a group of 5 adults and 4 children. The property has enough parking for 2 cars. There are plenty of towels available and 3 shower rooms, 1 with a bath. We would definitely stay again! The location is great! 15 mins from the pebble beach and amusements. 40 mins from Camber Sands! There is a lovely terrace outside with a sofa. The en-suite for the master bedroom has the most amazing shower! There were plenty of cleaning products available, even though we brought our own. Asda is 3 minutes away!

We loved our stay however, If we stayed again I would definitely take bedding as there isn’t a dryer, and washing take ages to dry on the airer, if at all. I would take a can opener and cheese grater. We had to clean the entire kitchen area before using, including the refrigerator, due to the musty smell. Definitely bring cleaning cloths/sponges. There was a stool in the front room which was broken despite the legs being in position. We didn’t know until my child tried to sit on it! Luckily he was okay! Also, the house gets very warm and the master bedroom window gets attacked by seagulls! Building works in the area, so the noise picked up around 9:30am. Lots of stairs, pregnant with twins, so that became a running joke! The ignition on the stove is temperamental. It worked for 1 day out of 5.

Some aspects of the property were well equipped and good quality such as the kitchen items. And the property was clean. Sofas were comfortable. We had to await AA recovery on day of departure and the property owner let a member of our party stay inside longer while awaiting pick up, which was really helpful.

The property is sadly in serious need of some TLC and updating. Carpets need replacing, walls need redecorating, lawn was so overgrown that children couldn’t play on the grass. Most furniture in the bedrooms was damaged or broken in some way. Mattresses need replacing. There was a double fitted sheet on the king size bed so the mattress curled at the corners. Only one towel per person (images show a hand and bath towel laid out on each bed). No mirror in downstairs ensuite. Outdoor handrail on steps had fallen down. Outdoor furniture cushions were damp and grimey so we didn’t sit on the outdoor furniture.

I would like to express my great disappointment I experienced with my stay in the house listed on your website “Family Home in Seaside Town” that I rented in advance in the town of Hasting on the dates 7/17/23 to 7/23/23 for a period of 6 nights. The main reason I rented the house was the fact that it was stated on their website that there is an air conditioner in the house. I would like to emphasize that I have a chronic disease and therefore I must be in an air-conditioned environment. I had other options to rent houses at much lower prices but I didn't do that because air conditioning was the most important parameter for renting a house so I agreed to pay the highest price just because of that. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the house, I discovered that there was no air conditioning at all, and this greatly affected the quality of my stay in the house throughout the entire period of the rental. Of course, I immediately contacted the owners of the house, and I received an answer from them that there is no air conditioning in the house, which was very disappointing, but unfortunately there was nothing I could do. I would appreciate if you could check this issue with the landlords of this house.

THE HOUSE WAS A LOVELY HOUSE WITH PLENTY OF ROOM FOR 5 ADULTS,PLENTY OF OUTSIDE SPACE 3 LOVELY BATHROOMS.

WHEN WE ENTERED THER HOUSE THE STAIRS ARE THE FIRST THING YOU SEE THEY HAD DIRTY MARKS ON THE CARPET AND WALLS.. THE BEDROOM CARPETS HAD DIRTY MARKS ON AND THE BEDS WERE JUST THROWN TOGETHER VERY CREASED SHEETS TO SMALL FOR THE MASTER BED.
