Castell Cottages Central with Parking

The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable.We travelled early because it was the hottest day of the year and were allowed to check in as soon as we arrived which was very much appreciated.

Really good, comfortable and roomy self catering accommodation. Well equipped kitchen - especially appreciated the dishwasher. Good wifi connection. Easy and plentiful parking on site. Friendly and approachable hosts. Brilliant location for exploring the area, including the Welsh Valleys, Brecon Beacons and the capital city, Cardiff. Easy walking distance to the renovated Caerphilly Castle which is well worth a visit. Plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance and close to the shopping centre with a Morrisons supermarket and petrol station.

Garden at the property seems to be a 'work in progress', but there is a covered outside area for relaxing and eating al fresco.

The location is super-convenient for Caerphilly town centre and the castle. As we had family members dropping in to see us, the abundant parking area. Also, because we were self-catering, the big Morrison supermarket around the corner was a bonus. The property was comfortable and well equipped overall.

The standard of cleaning was cursory, like the place had been given a quick once-over before we arrived. The only reason we noticed was that one of us dropped something and, while looking for it, discovered thick dust on the skirting behind the furniture and all kinds of disgusting deposits between the chair and sofa cushions. Regarding beds, the main bedroom was good, but the mattresses in the second bedroom were soggy and could do with upgrading.
