Woodland Cottage - private courtyard - Pet Friendly Retreat in the heart of Windermere

really well located. very nicely furnished

it was quite a busy road for traffic and people and the parking wasn’t great

Location was great, in between the two towns. It is definitely a cosy cottage, the lounge was nice and there was plenty of natural light. Bedrooms are a good size and had a storage cupboard for bags. Sun trap back garden is nice, although no grass for dogs. Shower was good, decent pressure and warm quickly.

WiFi was absolutely appalling. Constantly disconnecting so couldn’t play music from the Alexa or stream anything in the evening. No BBQ to be found which was supposedly included, unless it’s hidden somewhere and we couldn’t find it. Bed was far too soft for me but that’s personal preference. Kitchen didn’t have a wide range of utensils (no whisk, no spatula, no prosecco/gin glasses).

Lovely, well furnished little cottage. Modern and well decorated. Rear courtyard garden fully enclosed and perfect for a dog. Sun trap. Parking at the door. Great bathroom. Would book again.

Location of the cottage was perfect, close to the centre of Windermere. Host provided everything required for stay. The fact cottage was dog friendly was a bonus.

Nothing to dislike about the property. I suppose only minor niggle was having to try and keep the dog to the downstairs to the property as requested by owners.
