The Explorers Rest - Cottage - Frome

Location was very convenient for Frome and surrounding attractions. Off road parking. Plenty of space. A quirky cottage with history!

The cottage was beautifully presented, very clean with good sized spaces. It was perfectly positioned for our day trips out and had a very welcoming, relaxing atmosphere when we returned. The facilities are modern, plentiful, and catered for all our needs. I would highly recommend this as an excellent base for exploring the surrounds and perfect for relaxing in the evenings. We loved it!

There was nothing we didn't like, but should note the cottage sits on a corner of 2 small roads - although not busy during the day, there is a bit of an early rumble of passing commuters and the occasional truck on a weekday morning. We are fairly early risers, so this didn't really bother us or our enjoyment of the cottage. The double glazing keeps out most of the passing sounds. (The hosts kindly provide earplugs too - just in case!)

Close to the road so slightly noisy and might be a problem if there were young children in the house; but just fine for us

We enjoyed the location being close to Frome but just far enough away to walk the dog in wonderful surroundings. We enjoyed the cottage and its real cottage feel. We enjoyed Frome. We enjoyed the February sunshine.

Nothing really because there was nothing there we didn’t expect from the cottage description. This is not related to the cottage, but the 40mph speed limit is not observed and they come round the blind bend with some enthusiasm.

Loved the cottage loved the interior, really cosy and clean. It was near to everything . The communication was excellent and very helpful it was all nice and easy. Thank you 😊

The beds were not brilliant, two singles put together was uncomfortable, we had to put the pillows up the other end as in the way the mattress was lying 🤥 and the other double bed dipped in the middle but everything else was lovely, a really nice cottage
