Beds were really comfortable, big space ideal for walking to the beach

Front door needs replacing as difficult to open and close. The shower in the en-suite was either boiling hot (too hot to stand under) or freezing cold. If there is a trick to the shower useful tips would have been great

Location to centre of Blackpool was good. We had occasion to contact owner and the response was immediate and we got the issue sorted.

The area that the house is in is quite run down and derelict but once inside the house is fine.

"Excellent standard of accommodation, clean and warm and close to all amenities and attractions. We will return."

9.0

Liked: The location is central, the property is situated near the North end of the prom. It is on a no-through road so there’s little to no traffic noise. It is large, spacious and comfortable with everything you need provided. It was very clean. There is parking for 2 cars. It was warm and plentiful hot water for showers (for 5 people) Dishwasher. Excellent free WiFi. The host responded quickly to messages.

Just a couple of things to mention but really not an issue. There was no tea towel, or kitchen roll which would have been handy. Also, as we had family visiting us there, a few more mugs would have been great and a toaster for more than 2 slices of bread.

"Perfect for a family get together"

9.0

Spotlessly clean and bedding and towels lovely and soft and smelled lovely. House was tastefully furnished and the kitchen and dining room, where we spent most of our time and was perfect for long breakfast and dinners

Minor details which didn’t detract from our stay The family bathroom radiator -only bottom half heats up The front door and some walls could do with a lick of paint Better window coverings in the front bedrooms to block out very bright street lamp

"Great location, stunning house, fab host!"

9.0

Fantastic stay in a beautiful home, really close to the centre of blackpool, the beds were so comfy, best night sleep ever! Lovely little touches around the house including ample toilet paper, and milk in the fridge to name a few. Will return again for sure!

Front bedroom window would not fully close so could hear everything happening on the street and was quiet loud when the wind was at full force, could do with someone looking at it, but otherwise a great house!

"Awful. Stressful. Uncomfortable"

2.0

The dining table was large enough for our needs and easily seated 7 adults

First impressions were not good. The front door had peeling paint and damage to it. The location of the house was in a very run down part of Blackpool. The house opposite was boarded up and had squatters living in it. The rubbish in the back alleyway was awful. We had mice in the property. We actually saw one and also there were droppings in some of the rooms upstairs as well as downstairs. We had to keep all our food in the fridge to avoid it being eaten. The owner did send a pest control chap around who laid traps out of view. However with large holes from outside into the house not filled we felt that this problem must have been an ongoing problem. Maybe actually filling the brick work holes would keep vermin at bay? There was plastic sticky tape over outside guttering to stop the waste from going everywhere outside. The house was not cleaned to a good standard. Skirting boards dirty. Upstairs mirror dirty. Shower in en-suite was either boiling hot or cold. Hence 7 adults had to take turns in the main bathroom. The en-suite shower was also blocked. On lifting the plug we found it clogged with hair. Utterly disgusting. The outside yard was covered in weeds and needing some serious TLC. No outside table or chairs to sit on. The hand rail coming down stairs was sticky and obviously not been cleaned for a while. We purchased cleaning materials to clean much of the house. The kitchen sink had a scrub sponge which was well worn. I have never been to a holiday house and been expected to use a dirty scrub sponge! They cost around 30pence each! We informed the owner that we were short on 2 remote controls. One of the reasons we chose this property was to ensure as a family of 7 we all had our own space and could spend time in various rooms. The owner did not give us remote controls for the 2 TV's we needed them for. The request was ignored. I could go on and on and on about the problems with this house. We were/are so disappointed.
