"Very Good"

7.0

Great location with easy access to city centre on foot or via bus. Nice and quiet. Plenty of room, all the basics provided in the kitchen. The host was very responsive. Nice terrace outside with good views. Interesting property.

There was some dust on furniture (eg bedroom drawers) and lots of dead woodlice in the bedrooms when we arrived, not sure when the property was last cleaned. However, there was a hoover we could use and the host was apologetic. Some of the kitchen equipment also needed another clean before use such as mugs and bowls.

"Perfect views and cosy stay"

9.0

Had a lovely stay in this property it had everything you needed and the beds were super comfy! Location was so scenic and quiet which was perfect.we caught a bus 2 mins from property into town to save on parking charges in City. A fabulous pub called the boathouse 10 minute walk through some woodland from property too which served some delicious food and was right by the river. Property had a parking space available which was convenient too.

The bathroom is located in the house away from living space and and down some stairs away from bedrooms which was a bit awkward and would have preferred a walk in shower rather an over the bath one as bath is quite deep to climb into if you struggle with mobility. This is also a problem getting down to the property as the path and stairs are quite steep from where you park your car and to carry your luggage if your mobility isn't the best but this didn't affect us.

"Enjoyable quick stop-over"

9.0

Lovely location with pretty views. A really nice pub 10 minutes walk away (although the greenery was a bit overgrown walking there). Nice space and comfortable size everything. Clean and tidy with fresh towels in all rooms. No loo roll but this was fast remedied by the host once I let them know.

Was a bit odd going upstairs for the bedrooms then back downstairs for the bathroom the other end of the annex. Didn't know about the recycling until too late (after checkout) but didn't create much rubbish so wasn't an issue. Parking wasn't the easiest to find.

"Very nice but with some flaws"

8.0

Style and quality of furniture. Very good interaction with owner (Nigel)

The distribution of spaces: specifically, access to the bathroom is rather awkward - to get to it (ground floor) from living room (also GF) one has to pass through the bedrooms zone (first floor). The spiral staircase is so small we decided to leave our suitcases in the living room rather than trying to hoist them upstairs. The access to the apartment is through a very narrow passage between the building and a garden wall - big items/people may have some trouble getting through. We found that the living room receives not much sunlight. Basically, don't expect a luxury, historical apartment but rather a former storehouse now renovated (with suboptimal design I am afraid) and, yes, very finely furnished.
