Rie's Retreat - The Whole House

Very responsive and helpful host, lovely spacious and reasonably priced accommodation, well located close to the centre of Glastonbury.

Die Lage des Hauses ist etwas außerhalb vom Stadtzentrum, ca. 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Zur Quelle geht man ca. 20 Minuten. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer und 1 Schlafcouch im Haus, sowie zwei Bäder und ein WC. Ein weiteres Schlafzimmer befindet sich im Gartenhaus. Toll ist der Wintergarten mit einem großen Tisch und Blick in den Garten, der auch mitgenutzt werden kann. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Alles ist ordentlich und besonders schön dekoriert. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl! Rie ist eine sehr nette und unkomplizierte Gastgeberin! Im Vorfeld hat sie mir immer wieder Fragen beantwortet. Bei Ankunft stand schon Quellwasser und ein Korb mit Äpfeln, sowie eine nette Begrüßungskarte und Tipps bereit. Auch während des Aufenthalts war Rie immer erreichbar und half bei Fragen z. B. wie der Ofen funktioniert weiter. Ich würde das Haus wieder buchen!

Es gab ein missverständnis mit dem Frühstück. Buchung wurde mit Frühstück bestätigt. Tatsächlich war das Angebot aber ein paar Lebensmittel für das erste Frühstück, und dann konnte man sich selber weiter versorgen. Ansich kein, Problem, aber bei einer Buchung inklusive Frühstück verstehe ich was anderes. - Eben wirklich ein tägliches Frühstücksangebot, jeden Tag. Das Haus ist sehr schön, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Heizung brauchte teils mal etwas länger, oder lief erst später an, das haben wir nicht ganz verstanden. In einem Zimmer kam uns der Türknauf entgegen. Wurde wieder ran gesteckt. Alles nicht schlimm, hat auch seinen scharm... :-)

The house the host and the food were exceptional. The location Was perfect We had been out all day in windy cold Glastonbury walking the Tor and exploring having a magical time and when we arrived home Rie had prepared a delicious meal for us all that had been laid out , the smell was divine . As a group Of 6 ladies we would definitely stay again and recommend this beautiful home thankyou Rie xxx

The house was inviting, clean and comfortable. It was within easy walk to town. Rie was extremely welcoming and she had cooked the most amazing food for our first night. Everything you could have needed or wanted was in the house, Rie's house went over and above our expectations, and there was nothing we could fault about the house.

There was nothing we did not like (except the weather)

What a wonderful property in very close proximity to Glastonbury High Street. Homely, comfortable, welcoming and with all the facilities you could need for a fantastic stay. Probably my favourite rental property of all of my travels. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house and really well equipped.. perfect location to walk into Glastonbury (about 10 minutes) or the Torr which took us a 30 minute walk to catch the sunrise over Avalon ☮️

We loved the loved the location. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The garden was a nice space and the dining room was a good social area. It was nice to be left breakfast items.

The kitchen was rather grubby, we needed to bleach the washing up bowl, throw away the old sponge scourer and clean out the fridge.

Beautiful house, amazing facilities and perfect host

The property is a good size for a group with a good sized kitchen. You can relax into two other rooms downstairs. It was walking distance to town with a bus stop outside.
