Luxurious 4 bedroom Cottage in the Yorkshire Dales

The cottage was beautiful and so homely! Lovely goodies left for us was a special touch. Very clean and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, the log fire was great !! The views are stunning and we enjoyed our walks !! Thanks so much !

Great kitchen and downstairs open-plan living/dining area. Warm and cosy even on a cold weekend, once we’d adjusted the heating and especially with the stove lit. Even with eight adults, we didn’t feel like we were all on top of each other. Comfy beds and great showers, with unlimited hot water.

Although the beds were fine, the two twin rooms were tight on space for two adults and lacked mirrors so probably better suited to children. The bedroom/bathroom configuration meant in our case 6 adults sharing the house bathroom, which wasn’t ideal, especially as the downstairs toilet only has limited use. Quite dusty and cobwebby with some damp patches in the bedrooms.

The heating is set on a timer you can’t override unfortunately some of us were cold and unable to put the heating on. Appreciate there is a lovely log burner but unfortunately we couldn’t use as there was no fire guard for the surround an we had young children. Couple of things missing in the kitchen… no washing up liquid and scales without batteries. The house it self is beautiful unfortunately could really do with a deep clean lots of cobwebs lots of dust and in need of some tlc.

Beautiful location. Perfect for our needs- rest and relaxation. Lovely meal at local pub- Punch Bowl Inn. Comfy rooms and beds and clean and well presented. Good bathroom facilities. Would recommend to others l-family or group of friends - everything we needed for a restful weekend.

The pathway to the cottages isn’t lit so torches are a must..as parking is a short walk to the cottages. Personal preference for feather pillows so always take my own- pillows in the cottage were a little flat. But again, this is a personal preference.
