Comfortable and cozy in an old georgian home.

We booked this house for three people, but unfortunately it only had proper sleeping arrangements for two. The third person had to sleep on a sofa in the living room, and it was not a sofa bed, which made the stay uncomfortable. The kitchen facilities were also very limited — the cooker did not work properly, so we couldn’t cook during our stay. In addition, we were charged £10 per day for electricity, even though we only used it for central heating at night and were unable to cook. Overall, this was disappointing and did not match what we expected when booking for three guests.

Erm tough one, owner was pleasant but the property just wasn't good enough to our standards

Ok so property was on 3 floors, staircases narrow and pretty steep. House was cold and needed electric heaters on at all times BUT because electric was on pay meter we couldn't have ALL heaters on, so to get through the night we turned everything off other than in bedroom where we sat just so meter didn't run out. I'd say £20 a day was needed. The Wi-Fi was useless, being an old house our data didn't work. Free view box didn't work so no tv. In the bathroom the shower worked but no pressure, no ventilation which is a must. I'd recommend bringing a torch , to get to the house you need to walk down a dark alleyway then down a dark pathway , no lighting at all. We only stayed 1 out of 3 nights , this old property might suit some people it just didn't suit us. I understand to some degree as to why the owner wants to keep property original but this day and age people like modern touches plus home comforts and in our opinion didn't have either. The photos provided didn't accurately reflect size and layout. Kitchen tiny, living room tiny, bathroom tiny,shower tiny, bedroom good size but was on 3rd floor (attic) and very cold.

Interesting history of home.

Tight street and parking. Don't advise for older people with mobility problems. They plainly stated they had stairs. Just a bit difficult to move around in. Very nice owner and staff.

We liked the location as it was very close to all facilities. We liked the breakfast very much and the landlady was pleasant and helpful.

Very old fashioned interior, old sunken couch, lots of stuff in every corner, too much clutter. We assumed we had sole ocupancy but the landlady sat in the lounge with us each night. Also we weren't aware she had cats and a big dog!Not good value for money for £150 per night.

The location was really good.

Didn't stay. She said the cottage was damaged and offered her living room. Bedroom. Still waiting for a refund from booking.com. wasn't clean kept offering wine and port. Very disappointed. Had to book a hotel. Didn't take pictures not there long enough.

Location, style, simplicity.

Breakfast was good and location was good

Sharing living room with other quest also numerous cats roaming around the rooms and bedrooms which didn't go well with apparently a dog friendly stay. Also it took a while to get into the property which we were told was self contained. The owner answered the phone in the end after 2 hrs of trying

It needs a major update definitely no good for children or the older generation them stairs are a death trap and the meter taking out
