Albion Cottage - Whitby

Location was great, 5 minutes from the station. Whitby is a magical place we really loved our stay here. Albion cottage is nicely decorated and comfortable. Nice touches: milk in the fridge especially after a long jouney on the train, guest treats (biscuits, coffee bags etc). Richard was a very attentive host and responded to questions really quickly. Our train back to London was after check out and we were allowed to keep the luggage at the property, which was very much appreciated. We absolutely loved Robin Hood's Bay ... a beautiful place and a must see!

These are very minor issues but it's the first place we've stayed in where bath towels, shampoo and shower gel are not provided. I does state bring own towels on the site just curious to know why, it seems an unusal omission especially when other things are so genereously provided, and bed sheets and the one small hand towel are laundered. Not everyone drives and can carry alot of luggage and towels take up much space and weight in a suitcase. When clicking on the QR code for WIFI it is not obvious what the network is as only the password is provided. I had to look on the BT box to see what it was. The QR code also provides instructions for the hob but it would be great to add to the printed instructions for the hob that it needs to be unlocked first in order to use it as we looked at that first.

Lovely cottage close to all Whitby has to offer! Clean homely feel with thoughtful touches. Great communication with owners throughout, not that we needed them for anything, everything you need is on a handy app on a tablet in the home. Easy check in process. Beds so comfy!

Perfect location in the heart of Whitby and also straight onto the road for departing the town.

Spotlessly clean, very well equipped? Laid out and decorated

The cottage is absolutely beautiful - full of character and immaculate. It's in a perfect location, just a few minutes walk to the centre. The welcome basket on arrival was very much appreciated. Richard was fabulous. He kept in touch with us to make sure we got in OK and updates on check-in/check-out times. Thank you so much. Can't wait to come back again next year!

Great position and had parking space

Stairs were very steep but knew this before we booked

Lovely cottage in a good location for getting around Whitby easily. Richard was a great host, in providing useful information prior to our visit and was welcoming upon our arrival. The cottage was well equipped and the welcome pack was appreciated, especially the Botham biscuits!

The stairs were a little difficult but that had been highlighted in the property description.

Thank you for the lovely welcome tray that was waiting for us. The Cottage was so clean and comfortable.

It wasn’t that we didn’t like them, but was always worried about the stairs and one of us falling on the stairs.
