The cottage was absolutely lovely we couldn't fault it in any way

The place was well equipped and the location was lovely. The host was friendly too.

Although the pool looked really great, we did find it too cold to use. But I guess that's weather dependant.

Quiet location with privacy and parking . Walks around the area and close to the reservoir for sailing and paddle boarding

We loved everything about our stay. The location is idyllic and peaceful and the cottages are beautiful and thoughtfully furnished with everything you need. The swimming pool was wonderful and a real gem too. We had a lovely stay and Jason and team were so welcoming too.

Quiet location.

On arrival there was poo left in the toilet, the main bedroom was freezing cold the storage heater had been switched off, it is a very antiquated storage heating system and we felt cold the short time we were there. The kettle was absolutely disgusting I had to try and scrub it to get rid of the limescale but because it was so bad I couldnt get rid of all of it. The drawer under the bathroom sink was dirty and the shower head shot water all over the bathroom because it was full of limescale. The TV in the lounge area is tiny so we could barely see it from the sofa! I booked this lodge because of the advertised “indoor” pool, this is very misleading it is not indoor, it has a polycarbonate cover over it so was very cold. We decided to leave after one night and had to contact the owner to ask where to leave the key and they never enquired why we were leaving so early, we never saw anyone who works there at all.

Lovely cottages, lovely location, 15 min drive to Louth.

We stayed in December, cottages were cold. Tiled floors throughout and, I think they are called, emersion heaters, that did not give out enough heat to warm up the open plan lounge and kitchen. There was a log burner but sadly no logs, kindle, paper or anything to burn. So could not use. Bath towels were tiny, even too small for my 5 year old granddaughter. Lots of instructions on what to do and how tidy you must leave the cottage on departure. Quite difficult when the vacuum had half the handle missing and so could not use! Another vaccuum in the other cottage we rented, had zero suction!
