Stable Cottage, Oxfordshire

Clean, spacious, as described.

Twin beds quite uncomfortable.

The kitchen was very well equipped. Everything was clean and tidy. The cottage, in general, looks great.

We had tried to stay in the cottage during the 2nd week of July, which unfortunately meant we've met a heat wave, which is probably the norm during this season nowadays. The cottage was unsafe to stay in during that time, as it doesn't have any proper ventilation or air-conditioning, so we had to take rooms in a nearby hotel. This means that for the 3 nights we had booked it, we got to spent merely a few hours at the cottage. I wouldn't recommend anyone getting there during the summer. I suspect in other seasons it might be a great place for a vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Stable Cottage! The location is ideal for anyone seeking peace and quiet, with plenty of beautiful walking routes nearby. The cottage itself was well-maintained, and the facilities—including the pool and tennis court—were easy to access. Check-in was smooth with clear communication, and the property is in a great spot for exploring Oxfordshire. We’d definitely love to return when visiting the area again.

If you’re after something more urban, this might not be the spot for you—but there’s still plenty to enjoy around the farm and park area!

Nice location

Property was quite tired inside.

The restaurant was advertised as open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday night but this was not the case. Also the area around the restaurant was very overgrown and badly lit. The rest of the area was wonderful and the house was perfect.

Beautiful setting, everything you need and a lovely relaxing stay away. There was enough room for all of us, airy and great for the dog! He was comfortable the whole time - as well as us and we all loved having a relaxing weekend in a lovely place. About a 15min drive so close to town centre and there’s lots of parking complexes at a reasonable price. It was the best place to be if you are not keen on being in the dead centre of town, relaxing quiet and good for the dog - lots of great walks near by and felt very safe and secure. Would love to come back in the summer months and try the pool facilities but the heating was great for cold mornings, we were toasty and happy the whole time. Thankyou for a great stay!

None of the taxi places answered - nothing to do with the hosts though more on the taxi firms! but bear in mind before you go if you need a taxi to do some research as none of the ones provided answered.

The property in the countryside of Oxfordshire within a short drive of Oxford. The stable cottage is located within a picturesque farm complex. The property is well maintained and of a high standard. The garden is small but with a lovely aspect of stonewalls, fruit trees and English cottage garden plants. Highly recommend. Outstanding local farm to plate restaurant within the grounds; excellent food and service.

Comfortable, well decorated and equipped. Beautiful grounds. The staff at the nearby shop/ restaurant were lovely as were those we encountered while exploring the beautiful gardens. Lots of wildlife.
