Per arrivare o uscire bisogna attraversare un parcheggio pubblico e a gennaio c’era ghiaccio.Per aprire la porta bisogna alzare la maniglia per poter girare la chiave

Carol was such a lovely host and really looked after us. Very comfortable stay, lovely breakfast, and we even joined in the Hogmanay ceilidh at the community centre around the corner!

Very cosy and spacious

Perfect landing pad for our first trip to the Isle of Skye. Normally we struggle with horrible jet lag but Adaliene's Retreat was so cozy and comfy that we slept well even our first night. There were lovely extra touches like bathrobes and slippers, delicious breakfast treats and coffees and bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed and a small oscillating fan (my personal fave). Carol was so attentive and forwarned us about Storm Bram that blew into Portree on our 2nd night. Her advice helped us arrange our day so we could get back to the apartment before the worst of the winds came. Would 100% stay here again!

It was an absolutely great place to spend a week on Skye. Cosy, comfortable, clean, so well equipped (including plenty of breakfast items) and just 3 minutes away from the central square. Loved spending my evenings there after days of hiking on the beautiful island. Carol is a very lovely host, she came to say hi and make sure I was comfortable and happy with the stay, and thanks to her tip I got to see the lighting of the Christmas tree in town! On my last day I was also able to leave my bag in the shop to enjoy the last hours on Skye. I highly recommend it and would most definitely stay again next time I visit, it felt like being at home!

Great parking, shower, heating, kitchen equipment, location, Wi-Fi, cleanliness, thoughtful touches everywhere, coffee machine, double bed, pretty much everything inside!

I had constant problems opening and closing the front door. I was lucky that one of the owners was available to get me in on arrival. Access to the key was easy, using it demanded a 'knack' as noted in a message from the other owner. On three occasions I had to leave the door unlocked, it was just impossible to lock it. I have never encountered this issue before, and it's a simple and cheap fix to replace the faulty barrel. So very frustrating as this apartment would have been one of the best I've stayed in.

This property has everything you need. The host has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It was a short stroll into town. The bed was comfy and the apartment was very spacious. Even fresh fruit and other food in the cupboards & fridge which was lovely.
