Riber Hall Manor

What a wonderful stay at Riber Hall Manor. Location is stunning. Alison and her family have done an incredible job of bringing the house alive and making it an interesting and comfortable place to visit. Our room was spacious, furnished beautifully with a comfortable bed with luxurious bedding. It was great to learn about the history from Alison in a welcome chat. A very unique stay with the warmest hospitality. Thank you.

Little gem in an historic Manor House. Set beautifully in a small hamlet just outside of Matlock. Our room was exceptional. Very friendly owner who gave us a talk about the history of the house. Thoroughly recommended!

Absolutely stunning loved everything about this place

If I have to pick one thing it was the lampshade in the bedroom it just spoiled the old historical room that’s the only thing

Host was very welcoming and eager to tell us all about the history of the house and the family who owned it. Alison went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. A very old house with the quirkiness which goes with it which we liked. Very comfortable four poster bed. No restaurant but good fish and chips and more in nearby Matlock. Excellent breakfast and Alison offered to make a flask for our journey. Introduced to a neighbour, a very well known conservationist and sculpture.

The steep access hill (we were warned to avoid this by approaching from the other side)

Bike stored safely So helpful and generous: on top of the hill so I had bought dinner to cook and the host was happy to put it in the oven and even insisted on providing a very nice glass of wine to drink with it.

Rather a long way up on the bike from Matlock.

Alison was an absolutely fantastic host and went above and beyond during our stay which made our stay extra special If you are interested in the local area and history Alison is very knowledgeable and more than happy to recommend A beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting, this stay exceeded all expectations and cannot wait to return Thank you Alison for making us feel so welcolme

The manor was lovely, and so was Alison. It was very interesting to hear about the history of the manor. Plus the views of matlock was stunning.

One of our best experiences. Our host was exceptional. Passionately sharing the history of the house which was so interesting. Our room was exceptional with a wonderful bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was good. We look forward to another visit.
