Beautiful, well cared for Manor House in a wonderful location Alison is an incredible host and made us feel very welcome.

Really lovely house, Alison was very friendly and welcoming too, she told us about the history of the place and advised us on places to eat etc. in Matlock. The room was amazing, really spacious and combined period features with practicality. We had a lovely relaxing weekend thank you!

An historic building beautifully restored. Lovely period furniture and decorations . It felt very special indeed. One of a find . The hostess Alison was very kind and helpful.WiFi worked nicely and a large tv to watch from the 4 poster bed. The mattress was extremely comfortable . Very quiet country location. Friendly neighbours . Lovely walks .

There are two roads up the hill. We took the steep road with sharp corners instead of the much easier route. But we managed it and so glad we did. The stairs were a challenge as we are in our 70s with poor balance . But we managed it.

Lovely place to stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the host was lovely.
